CNC Punching Process For Custom Perforated Metal Sheets

CNC punching is the core manufacturing process for high-precision custom perforated metal sheets, widely used in architectural decoration, industrial filtration, machinery protection

1. Design & CNC Programming
The whole process starts with customer CAD drawings. Our technical team converts custom hole size, hole pattern, plate thickness and layout requirements into professional CNC
machine programs.
It supports complex designs including round holes, square holes, slot holes, staggered patterns and gradient perforation to meet diverse engineering customization needs.

2. Material Loading & Machine Setup
Qualified raw metal sheets (carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum) are fixed on the CNC machine bed to avoid displacement during processing.
Workers adjust punching speed, tonnage and tool molds according to material hardness and sheet thickness to ensure stable punching effect.

3. Automatic CNC Punching
The CNC system runs the preset program, and the punching head strikes the metal sheet accurately at high speed. The mechanical shearing mode ensures neat hole edges without
material deformation.
This process realizes consistent hole spacing, uniform aperture and stable open area rate, which is the key to guarantee product usability and appearance.

4. Deburring & Finishing
Slight burrs on punching edges are inevitable after mechanical processing. We adopt professional grinding and deburring treatment to remove sharp edges.
This step makes the sheet smooth and safe, avoiding hand injury and installation abrasion during on-site construction.

5. Cutting & Surface Treatment
After integral punching, the sheets are cut according to custom size requirements. Follow-up treatments such as hot-dip galvanizing, powder coating and anodizing can be processed
on demand.
